In its largest acquisition to date, Telephone & Data Systems, Inc., parent of TDS Telecommunications, closed on a $267.5 million purchase of Baja Broadband, LLC. Baja, a cable company based in New Mexico, serves residential and commercial customers in Arizona, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico, Texas, and Utah. It generated $85.6 million in revenue last year and has 278 employees.
