The 2022 tax filing season will begin Jan. 24, 17 days earlier than last year, according to a story from the Associated Press. The IRS is warning that COVID-19 infections and less funding authorization from Congress could make this tax season challenging. The agency also urges taxpayers to avoid paper tax returns and file electronically to avoid processing delays.
