A ruling from the Wisconsin Public Service Commission means utility customers around the state will share in the six-month savings their utility companies have banked as a result of the 2017 tax code changes.

A six-month total of $130 million in savings will be divvied up and credited back to utility customers beginning with their July utility bills.

The tax code slashed the corporate tax rate from 35% to 21%, resulting in the savings.

Exact details and amounts of the credits are being worked out, according to a Wisconsin State Journalarticle.
