Good news for people who fear blood draws: Madison-based Tasso Inc. has secured a $2.9 million grant from the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency to support development of the company’s at-home blood-draw technology. The company’s HemoLink medical device allows patients to painlessly draw blood at home by simply holding a small device to their skin for two minutes. A slight vacuum in the device extracts small amounts of blood into an attached tube that can then be sent to a lab for analysis.
