Holiday shoppers can expect higher prices during the holiday season, according to a CNBC report.
Tariffs haven’t had a large effect on goods so far, as businesses built up inventories ahead of duties and compressed profit margins.
But the price of goods is steadily increasing.
What that means for consumers is higher prices for coffee, furniture and clothing, which all increased .7% in September, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
LendingTree said the tariff cost comes to $132 per shopper.
