The original Taigu Noodles closed after 10 years of operation in Middleton, the Wisconsin State Journal reports. Owner Hong Gao cited a desire to focus on the restaurant’s other location, which opened last August on Madison’s far west side.
The Middleton restaurant had offered only dinner takeout after the new location opened just three miles away at 5372 Old Middleton Road. Hong said, after that, most customers were coming to the new restaurant instead of the original.
A former Taigu chef reportedly plans to open a Happy Wok fast-food restaurant in the Middleton space.
