Madison’s City Council and Mayor Paul Soglin are being sued by a Taco Bell franchise group after a January decision to deny a beer and wine license for a Taco Bell Cantina on State Street.

On a 12–7 vote, the City Council failed to override Mayor Paul Soglin’s veto of the license. Now, Bell Great Lakes LLC is arguing that the decision was “arbitrary, capricious, discriminatory, and unreasonable,” according to a Wisconsin State Journalreport.
