Syttende Mai Festival kicks off in Stoughton

Stoughton is hosting its weekend long Syttende Mai Festival, a celebration of Norwegian heritage, beginning today and running through Sunday, May 21, according to Channel 3000. 

The festival — an annual celebration on the weekend closest to Norway’s May 17Constitution Day — has been a city-wide tradition since the 1950s. It is set to include parades, food and drink, arts and music, athletic competitions, and kids’ activities.
