Recently introduced legislation intends to help prevent high-priced tickets on the secondary market, according to a Wisconsin Public Radio report.

The bill, known as SWIFTIE (Stop Wildly Inflated Fees and Ticketing Industry Exploitation), would make it illegal to sell tickets at an inflated cost.

Ticket resellers would legally have to disclose the cost of a ticket to potential customers, and the bill would set a cap on how much resellers can charge and prohibit ticket-buying bots from snapping up tickets.
