The Southern Wisconsin Agricultural Group has selected the Village of Marshall as the location for an Agricultural Education & Innovation Center.

“We had a lot of fantastic communities and sites that we visited, “ said John Morning, SWAG board member and site selection chairperson. “In the end, it came down to which community checked the most boxes on our site criteria list and that, without a doubt, is Marshall.”

The proposed building will include an agricultural education center featuring ag education programming for all ages, an expo and training center that will host ag-based trade shows and conventions as well as workforce and safety training sessions, an agricultural events facility able to host animal shows, and an ag discovery center open to the public featuring rotational, interactive exhibits.

SWAG plans to launch a capital fundraising campaign this summer in hopes of breaking ground in 2016 and opening in 2017.
