The Dane County Board of Supervisors is seeking public input on funding priorities related to $95 million from the federal government as a part of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act.
The funding is intended to provide assistance for state, local, and tribal governments navigating the impact of the COVID-19 outbreak. The county has already allocated funding to address urgent needs including support of Second Harvest Food Bank, local businesses, child care providers, and safe shelter for homeless individuals and families.
Over the next several weeks, the County Board’s standing committees will be discussing priorities for the federal funding and have invited the public to share their feedback on priorities by emailing engagedane@countyofdane.com, with the subject “COVID-19 Priorities.”
