Sun Prairie preschool The Learning Experience is providing children with basic engineering skills through a new extension of its enrichment program, according to WMTV15.

The curriculum aims to help children explore potential future goals beginning at a young age, encouraging problem solving, creativity, and real-life application skills through age-appropriate toolkits.

Toolkits can be tailored to specific age groups. Current preschool kits focus on the use of tools like hammers and screwdrivers, and kits for older children are geared toward coding and even use of robots.

Toolkits are rotated every four months through the program; the last kit was “Little Musicians,” and the next is set to launch July 1.
