The Sun Prairie Chamber of Commerce applied for and won a $25,000 grant from T-Mobile’s Hometown Grant program for the city’s largest-ever sustainable project, as renovations to the chamber’s 1960s building near completion. It’s the Sun Prairie Chamber of Commerce building’s first renovation since 1980.
Out of 500 applicants, the chamber was one of 25 organizations selected to receive grants. Midwest Solar Power has been awarded the contract to install 21 solar panels for the building, located at 109 E. Main St., this spring. Construction is set to finish by April 1, to be followed by a grand opening.
