Sun Prairie farmers market to open Saturday

The 2023 Outdoor Sun Prairie Farmers’ Market is slated to open May 6 and will run from May through October in downtown Sun Prairie, according to a press release. It will be open on Saturdays from 7 a.m. until noon.  

The market will offer products from local farmers, artisan food producers, and makers from the surrounding area. 

Features to kick off the market’s opening day will include: 

  • The Sun Prairie Public Library Dream Bus arrival from 7– 8:30 a.m.; 
  • Live music provided by Marta Hanse from 10 a.m.–12 p.m.; 
  • A nonprofit community booth by Smith’s Crossing Community Garden; 
  • A live broadcast from the Sun Prairie Media Center; and 
  • Special offerings for marketgoers from several downtown Sun Prairie businesses.
