Approvals have been granted for Milwaukee-based Veterans Administration Credit Union to merge with Summit Credit Union of Madison. VACU will not become a part of Summit until Sept. 1, and system conversion will not be complete until February 2014. Once the merger is complete, Summit will have assets of $1.9 billion, 131,000 members, and 24 branches statewide.
