The Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction is seeking sponsors to provide meals to children living in economically disadvantaged and rural areas in Wisconsin through its Summer Food Service Program.
SFSP was able to provide over 3.3 million meals in 2025 thanks to sponsors.
Sponsors can be public or private, nonprofit school food authorities or nonprofit summer camps, units of local, municipal, county, tribal or state governments, private nonprofits (special considerations and restrictions apply) and public or private colleges or universities participating in the National Youth Sports and Precollege Programs.
Qualifying organizations can now sponsor a non-congregate meal service for children in rural areas that are not being served through a communal meal program.
Individuals must contact the program coordinator and complete the SFSP application no later than June 15.
