More than 100 jobs could be created if Sub-Zero/Wolf moves ahead with expansion plans in Fitchburg, according to an article in the Wisconsin State Journal. The high-end appliance manufacturer presented plans to the Fitchburg City Council for a 250,000- to 300,000-square-foot expansion of its Basswood Road facility. The company would like to break ground in July and have the facility fully operational by mid-2016.

According to the article, the expansion could funnel between $250,000 and $285,000 to the city in new property taxes. The council is currently conducting a feasibility test for a potential TIF district around the location, and other approvals would also be necessary.
