Stocks soar into record territory

Wall Street was on track Friday to close the week at an all-time high, the Associated Press reports. The S&P was up 0.5% and set to surpass its February record. The Nasdaq likewise rose 0.5% and entered record territory, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average ticked up 0.9%.

Nearly every sector within the S&P 500 saw gains, led by Nike, which skyrocketed 15.5%.

Crude oil in the U.S. rose 1% but has retreated since last week to levels in place before the Israel-Iran war, which disrupted the global supply of crude oil and sent prices soaring. A ceasefire between the two nations is currently in place.

Bond yields were up, with the yield on the 10-year Treasury rising to 4.28% from 4.24% late Thursday, and the two-year Treasury yield rising to 3.76% from 3.72% over the same period.
