The stock market is back on an upward trajectory after President Donald Trump said negotiations were “proceeding nicely” with Iran on ending the war that began in late February, the Associated Press reported.
The S&P 500 rose 0.5% after the market reopened for the week after being closed for Memorial Day. The Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 0.1%, as of 9:35 a.m. Eastern time, and the Nasdaq Composite rose 0.8% higher as all three are nearing their all-time highs.
Meanwhile, oil prices, which have soared to over $100 per barrel during the war, sat around $93-$96.
