Markets were muted early today after U.S. markets were closed Wednesday in observance of Juneteenth, the Associated Press reports. Ahead of the reopening of American markets, futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average were little changed, while futures for the S&P 500 rose 0.4%.
U.S. benchmark crude oil fell 12 cents to $80.59 per barrel in electronic trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Brent crude added 8 cents to $85.15 per barrel.
The dollar rose to 158.42 Japanese yen from 158.10 yen.
