Madison-based Stemina Biomarker Discovery received a $10.6 million contract with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency as part of its ToxCast initiative. Stemina will use its technology to screen drugs and chemicals for their potential to cause birth defects if a pregnant woman is exposed to them during pregnancy.
