The local stem cell company founded by UW–Madison stem cell pioneer James Thomson in 2004 and acquired by Fujifilm in 2015 for $307 million, cut some sales, marketing, and administrative positions last week, according to a Wisconsin State Journalreport.
Fujifilm Cellular Dynamics Inc. announced a reduction of 10 percent of its jobs, although the exact number remains unknown. The staff size could regenerate to current numbers over the next year as the company completes a new $3.8 million manufacturing building across the street at 465 Science Drive.
