A new report from Legislative Fiscal Bureau has projected Wisconsin general fund tax collections to be almost $1.2 billion higher over three years than what was originally estimated last year.

New general fund revenue and expenditure projections expect a net balance of almost $1.8 billion at the end of the 202021 fiscal year on June 30. At the end of the 202123 biennium, the balance is expected to be nearly $1.2 billion higher than what was projected by the state Departments of Administration and Revenue on Nov. 20.
