According to a report from RENEW Wisconsin, the Clean Energy Trust, and Environmental Entrepreneurs, there are about 25,000 clean energy workers in the state of Wisconsin.

About 17,000 work on energy efficiency at their places of employment, 5,600 work in renewable energy fields, 3,700 in solar, 1,100 in biomass, and 600 in wind energy.

Those statewide numbers paled in comparison, however, to neighboring states like Illinois (114,000) and Minnesota (54,000).
