State unemployment lower than national average but double last year

The unemployment rate in Wisconsin dropped from 8.6% in June to 7% in July, according to a report from the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development.

The numbers in the state are far below the national rate but more than double the 3.4% rate from a year ago.
