Justices on the Wisconsin Supreme Court ruled against reinstating Gov. Tony Evers’ capacity limit order for bars, restaurants, and other public spaces, according to a Capital Timesreport.

Evers had put the order in place in early October to curb the spread of COVID-19 in the state. As the court battle continues, the order remains on hold while a record number of COVID-19 cases are reported across the state seemingly each day. Yesterday, 5,935 cases were recorded, breaking the previous day’s record high of 5,771. Additionally, 54 new deaths recorded in the state were attributed to the virus.
