Financial support for the state’s startup companies dropped 21% in 2013 compared to 2012, according to the Wisconsin Portfolio report from the Wisconsin Technology Council and the Wisconsin Angel Network. Investors pumped $128 million into early-stage companies in 2013, but that was down from $163 million the previous year. However, the number of startup companies raising capital was up, from 74 in 2012 to 86 in 2013.
