State ranks 18th for private equity investment

A report from the American Investment Council’s “Private Equity: Top States and Districts in 2015,” found that Wisconsin ranked 18th in the U.S. in terms of investment from private equity, with $11.58 billion in capital invested.

Wisconsin also came in 17th for private equity-backed businesses, with 73.

Nationwide, private equity firms invested over $625 billion in more than 3,700 U.S.-based companies last year. A state-by-state report can be found here.
