State Line Distillery’s 5-year Rye Whiskey is ready to be sipped, showcasing grains from Wisconsin’s Driftless Region.
The spirit is only available at the Madison tasting room, and is a culmination of founder John Mleziva’s vision for producing traditional whiskey with local ingredients.
“We want people to come to Madison, taste this whiskey in our tasting room and understand the care that went into every step,” Mleziva said in a statement. “This isn’t a product you can just click and buy. It’s something you need to experience.”
State Line sources its grains from the Driftless Region to create a sense of Wisconsin terroir, a practice that breweries and distillers have pursued to create unique products and support local farms.
