The Wisconsin Economic Development Corp. is teaming with a San Francisco company to launch a new website that serves as a free online search tool for businesses looking to relocate or expand in Wisconsin.
The website, LocateInWisconsin.com, provides business executives and site selectors with information they need to make business expansion decisions in Wisconsin, including commercial real estate data, demographic breakdowns, community details, local workforce education and skill levels, and lists of buildings available for sale or lease.
The website is directed by WEDC, with the support of the Wisconsin Economic Development Association and software development provided by Geographic Information Systems Planning of San Francisco. The website is built with Google Maps technology, and is integrated with ZoomProspector, which is GIS Planning’s national site selection search engine.
“Since nearly all initial site selection screening is now done online, the new Wisconsin system certainly makes the state more competitive in its effort to attract businesses and jobs,” Anatalio Ubalde, CEO of GIS Planning, said in a press release.
