State home sales up in February

Sales of existing homes across the state increased 4.1% in February year over year, with the Wisconsin Realtors Association stating that this has been the strongest winter for home sales in more than 10 years. Median prices also increased statewide, rising 6.8% to $146,800.

In Dane County, the median home price increased 4.0% February to February, from $215,000 in 2015 to $223,500 this year. At the same time, the number of Dane County existing home sales dipped 3.1% in that same time period, from 355 homes sold a year ago in February 2015 to 344 this year.
