The Wisconsin State Building Commission has approved approximately $124 million in key building projects across the state, according to a release from Gov. Tony Evers’ office. Projects include:
- Elevating modernization in seven facilities on the UW–Madison campus. The current elevators range in age from 45 to 56 years old and do not meet today’s accessibility standards;
- Elevating modernization in 15 elevators at various downtown Madison DOA buildings. The current elevators are 40 years old;
- Replacing a DMA fuel storage tank that provides service to the Madison Aviation Armory. The current tank has exceeded its 30-year life expectancy; and
- Twenty-five maintenance and repair projects located at various locations in eight counties across the state for the Departments of Administration, Health Services, Military Affairs, Natural Resources, Veterans Affairs, and the UW System.
