In a ruling issued last Thursday, a Wisconsin appeals court sided with the founder and president of New Glarus Brewing Company, WKOW reports, after three of the business’ investors filed a suit claiming the company and majority shareholder Deb Carey harmed their financial interests. They claimed a series of actions by the company and Carey amounted to minority shareholder oppression and securities fraud.
The appeals court backed a Green County Circuit Court decision to dismiss the claims with prejudice. Its decision comes in just one of several lawsuits brought by the three investors. In a civil lawsuit brought in Dane County Court, scheduled to go to trial in October, Carey is named as the defendant.
