According to the state Department of Workforce Development, Wisconsin gained 15,100 private sector jobs in October, while its unemployment remained the same at 4.3%.
October’s increase in jobs was the highest in a single month since April 1992, the DWD said. The state’s unemployment rate continues to be below the national rate, which dropped to 5% in October.
DWD data also shows Wisconsin added 30,735 private sector jobs from June 2014 to June 2015. That’s a decrease from the 39,624 private sector jobs the state added in the previous quarterly span, from March 2014 to March 2015.
