Wisconsin added 35,565 jobs in 2015, a slight decrease (0.5%) from the number of jobs added in 2014 (35,759), according to the latest Quarterly Census of Employment and Wages released by the state Department of Workforce Development.
While the state reportedly lost 11,500 jobs in April 2016, the QCEW shows March numbers revised up by 1,600. Wisconsin’s April unemployment rate was 4.4%, lower than the national rate of 5.0%.
