StartingBlock Madison has secured the $3 million in funding needed to move forward, thanks to 27 signed letters of intent from startups eager to consider moving into the lower floors of the eight-story “The Spark” building on East Washington Avenue.
American Family Insurance, which owns the eight-story project, will now execute development agreements with hopes of breaking ground by the end of the year.
The building will also be served by a 600-car parking ramp that the city will soon build across the street.
