St. Louis-based SSM Health, owner of St. Mary’s Hospital and Dean Medical Group, will furlough 2,000 employees for approximately 13 weeks across four states, according to a Wisconsin State Journalreport.
Other employees will see a reduction in hours, according to the company. The cuts are a result of fewer procedures, coupled with increased investment in tools and supplies due to the COVID-19 crisis.
