A recent spike in COVID-19 cases in Dane County has Public Health Madison and Dane County officials reevaluating the phased approach to reopening, according to a Capital Timesstory.
The original multistep approach to reopening businesses and relaxing restrictions has been stalled in Phase 2 since June. Public Health Madison and Dane County has acknowledged the limitations of its original phased approach, and while it is not ready to abandon the plan, it is evaluating alternative approaches.
Businesses are still operating under the assumption that some sectors of the county will hit Phase 3 and they will be able to operate under the 75% capacity threshold.
