Spectrum Brands Holdings Inc. announced plans to expand its world headquarters building in Middleton to accommodate expected growth in coming years. The company said it would be adding an additional 30,000 square feet to its 220,000-square-foot headquarters on Deming Way.
Spectrum moved into its current location in 2013 and has already nearly reached its capacity of 675 employees. The City of Middleton has agreed to put $700,000 in TIF funds toward the expansion, which could increase the building’s capacity by 100 employees.
The Livesey Co. built and owns the Spectrum Brands building and will be developing the addition, as well. Construction should be completed in 2017.
