Spectrum pays down debt

Spectrum Brands Holdings recently paid down another $100 million in debt. In its fiscal year ending Sept. 30, the company made $200 million in payments. As of June 30, Spectrum reported $3.2 billion in long-term debt. It refinanced $1.15 billion of that in September, knocking a 9.5% interest rate down to a floating 3.2% rate.
