Spectrum Brands saw higher earnings in its fiscal second quarter ending March 30. The company posted net income of $33.8 million (64 cents/share) on revenues of $1 billion. That compares to a net loss of $41.2 million (79 cents/share) on revenues of $987.8 million during the same period in 2013. The company saw positive results from its battery, door locks, home and garden, and personal care businesses. Spectrum’s brands include Rayovac, Remington, and George Foreman grills.
