The board of directors of HRG Group, a holding company that operates through Spectrum Brands, may be considering a sale or merger of the Middleton-based company, according to the Wisconsin State Journal.
HRG Group is Spectrum’s New York-based majority shareholder, and with its president and CEO leaving in 2017, word is the board could be looking at all opportunities to increase shareholder value.
