The Rotary Club of Madison announced Kris Kraskowski, executive director of the Wisconsin Institute for Healthy Aging (WIHA), as the speaker for its Wednesday, Nov. 29 luncheon at the Park Hotel.
Kraskowski will discuss the issues of loneliness and social isolation, now recognized as public health concerns and on the rise in the U.S. The pandemic has both exacerbated the problem and heightened awareness of the consequences. Kraskowski will talk about the issue as it impacts older adults and people with disabilities. He will also discuss community responses that range from national efforts to state initiatives addressing the epidemic of loneliness and isolation in Wisconsin.
The club’s general business meeting begins at 12:10 p.m. The speaker’s presentation will begin at approximately 12:35 p.m. and will conclude by 1:05 p.m. Rotary luncheons are not open to the public.
