The annual Souper Bowl will take place on Saturday at Madison West High School at 30 Ash St. from 11 a.m to 2 p.m.

The cost for a handmade ceramic bowl, soup, salad, bread and dessert is $25, with all proceeds going to the UW-Madison chapter of Habitat for Humanity. A family of four can pay $50 for four meals and two bowls.

The event will have “celebrity soup servers, live music, the UW Marching Band, Bucky Badger, face painting, games and more,” the Habitat for Humanity ReStore announced in a statement.

The Souper Bowl began in 1995 serving roughly 50 attendees. Now it serves over 1,000 people and over 200 gallons of soup.
