Sonic Foundry, Inc. posted a profit for 2012. The Madison-based company reported net income of $158,000 (4 cents/share) for the year compared to a net loss of $243,000 (6 cents/share) for all of 2011. In the company’s 2012 fiscal fourth quarter, the Mediasite hardware and software business posted a net loss of $103,000 (3 cents/share) on revenues of $6.2 million. That compares to a net loss of $406,000 (11 cents/share) on revenues of $6.7 million a year earlier.
