SoLoMo raises venture capital

Madison-based SoLoMo Technology, Inc. raised $1.7 million of venture capital in a funding round co-led by Venture Management and Don Layden. Venture Management is headed by Terry Kelly, formerly of Weather Central, Inc., while Don Layden, a partner at Quarles & Brady, is also an operating partner for Baird Venture Investors and Baird Capital Partners. SoLoMo will use the money for product development and to boost sales and marketing activity.
