Solar program announces nonprofit recipients

RENEW Wisconsin’s Solar for Good program has awarded over $150,000 in cash grants and solar panels to Wisconsin nonprofits for installing on-site solar energy systems, according to a release from the organization. Sixteen organizations will install 787 kilowatts of clean, renewable electricity leading to nearly $2 million in renewable energy investments in Wisconsin. In Dane County, the First Congregational United Church of Christ and the Madison Monthly Meeting of Quakers have been offered Solar for Good grants to install new solar electric systems. RENEW Wisconsin is a nonprofit organization that promotes renewable energy in Wisconsin.
