The University of Wisconsin–Madison plans on purchasing half of the energy produced by the Madison Gas and Electric solar array in Fitchburg, according to Wisbusiness.com.

The energy from the 20-megawatt solar array – the largest in Dane County – will account for about 5% of the school’s electricity use. The project is expected to begin construction this year and be online by early 2021.
