Madison College–Watertown, the Office of Business & Entrepreneurship (OBE), and the University of Wisconsin–Whitewater Small Business Development Center (SBDC) will host a free Small Business Clinic on Feb. 28 at the Madison College–Watertown campus from 9 a.m.–4:30 p.m. The event is geared toward both aspiring and established entrepreneurs.
Participants can attend for the whole day or select individual sessions, with the opportunity to connect with expert consultants during 30-minute one-on-one sessions. Event discussions will center on topics such as launching a business, managing finances, effective marketing, navigating the home baking industry, understanding international trade, and addressing legal considerations.
Participants may also choose to attend lecture-style group sessions, including General Business Law with UW–Madison’s Law & Entrepreneurship Clinic, Business Planning 101, Marketing 101, Funding your Business with Revolving Loan Funds, and International Trade and Opportunities for Women in Entrepreneurship.
Roughen-Schmidt, the event organizer and business consultant with the State Small Business Credit Initiative, will be available for free and confidential small business consulting that day.
