The soon-to-be-vacated Wisconsin state office building at Badger Road and Park Street will become Madison College’s new south campus beginning in fall 2019 after the school vacates its campus in downtown Madison.
The $12.8 million MATC project will be privately funded, with $10 million from the Goodman Foundation and $1.3 million from the American Family Insurance Dreams Foundation, plus additional funding from MATC’s private foundation. Madison College will purchase the building from developer Smith Gilbane for $2.8 million.
According to the Wisconsin State Journal, the school has not yet decided whether to remodel the building or tear it down and build new.
